Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club Hosts Winter Extravaganza ...

Head to the Minnetonka Ice Arena on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. to enjoy a free figure skating exhibition, do some holiday shopping and make a difference by helping local children and families-in-need of warm winter clothing. ?

The Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club (LMFSC) presents the 10th annual Winter Extravaganza?which includes performances by individual and synchronized skating performances by award-winning, state and nationally-recognized competitors.

Complimentary snacks and beverages will be served. In addition to the show, attendees are welcome to participate in the ?Chuck-a-Puck? fundraiser and shop the silent auction with tickets to the Minnesota Wild, Guthrie Theatre and Metropolitan Ballet and items from local restaurants and retailers including Heartbreaker, Davanni?s and Tonkadale Greenhouse. Silent auction proceeds fund the Windjammers synchronized skating teams.

The LMFSC Junior Board is proud to support ResourceWest?with a Warm Winter Wear Clothing Drive for children and families-in-need. Bring your donations of new or gently-used winter jackets, snow pants, winter boots and new hats and mittens for ages newborn through late teens to the Minnetonka Ice Arena.

Clothing is accepted beginning Friday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, December 9 in the front lobby of Rink A at the Minnetonka Ice Arena.

The?Lake Minnetonka Figure Skating Club, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization, is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and promotes individual testing and competitive skating, and offers a competitive synchronized skating team, the Windjammers, comprised of Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Open Juvenile and Intermediate teams. ?
